Lighting / Set Design
Lighting is at the very core of what I do and why I love being a visual artist. The feeling when you get just the right angle, just the right highlight, and just the right marriage of color and texture is what drives me.
I pair this with my passion for graphic impactful images. Whether it is a bold poppy palette or a gray tonal scene, how I use color sets the stage for how consumers view a product and elicits an emotion. Introducing shadow play, creating a three-dimensional space (or two-dimensional when called for) further tells our story and adds pops of interest.
I love to add a little 'wink' of reality or some unexpectedly playful aspect to my images. This can be a graphic beauty product and swipe layout, but making sure the makeup swipe looks very real, more three-dimensional, or it can be something that makes the viewer laugh and take notice.
